NickAngellotti

Nick is a Chartered Accountant and a designated specialist in Investigative and Forensic Accounting. He is the President and Managing Director of Williams & Partners Forensic Accountants Inc. In 2003, Nick was distinguished as having ranked among the top 10% of students graduating from the prestigious Diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting at the Rotman School of Business (University of Toronto). At the request of the Director of the program, Nick has returned as the coordinator of Loss Quantification courses, and instructs the Advanced stream.

Nick has been accepted and testified as an expert witness in the Ontario Superior Courts of Justice.

Shortly after receiving his Chartered Accounting designation in 1991, Nick was admitted as Partner in the firm of Williams & Partners, Chartered Accountants LLP. His focus began in advising small and medium sized enterprises, and providing forensic accounting services and litigation support.

Nick routinely presents lectures and training seminars on insurance loss accounting and forensic investigations to trade groups, legal conferences, and corporations.

GeoffBustin

Geoff’s professional career has been devoted to assisting small and medium sized enterprises build their businesses. Geoff started his training with an international accounting firm after graduation from the University of Toronto. His passion in working with owner-managers who could benefit from his knowledge, expertise, and experience to improve the value of their business led to his decision to join a local accounting firm.

In 1985, he felt that he could better understand the challenges that small business owners faced if he was a business owner himself and therefore started in his own accounting practice. After nearly 15 years of running his own practice, he merged with Williams & Partners in 1999 because of the commitment he saw to owner-managed business. He also felt that his clients would be better served if they could draw on a larger base of knowledge and experience.

Geoff has acted as an external advisor to many owner-managed businesses and for many non-profit organizations and charities, helping them to build value and plan for the future.

Carlo DePellegrin

Carlo is an experienced senior accountant with a unique combination of accounting management, business management and board service experience. Carlo began his career with a large international accounting firm. In 1973 he moved into private industry where he gained significant experience in the fields of manufacturing, construction and real estate development. Carlo returned to public practice in 1978. His focus was on creating wealth and value for owner-managed businesses, particularly in the construction, real estate development, and manufacturing sectors. More recently, Carlo has developed significant expertise in the not-for-profit sector. Carlo has served, and continues to serve, as a director on several charity boards. Carlo has acted as an advisor on a significant public offering resulting in an IPO on the TSX in 1994. Carlo was a director of a TSX 300 listed company from 1994 until 2005. Carlo completed the Institute of Corporate Directors program in 2005 and now holds the designation of ICD.D. In 1997, Carlo merged his practice with Williams & Partners. In his capacity as Partner with the firm, Carlo manages an assurance base of businesses, as well as providing business advice to owner managers in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.

Chris is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator who also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He brings a broad base of technical and business experience to our clients. Chris has a deep understanding of accounting, business valuation, corporate finance, financial advisory consulting services, litigation support and corporate governance.

Chris started his career with an international accounting firm in assurance. In 2009, he moved to a business valuation and corporation advisory firm and was quickly promoted to the role of Vice President, then Director, completing a significant number of valuations and advisory engagements for private and public companies. Chris has experience in a variety of industries for purposes including corporate finance activities, financial litigation support, financial reporting, financial restructuring, succession planning and income tax.

Chris is a trusted advisor to many of our owner-operated clients and actively advises on growth, financing and acquisition strategies.

Chris is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. He is actively involved in several charitable organizations, including Victim Services Toronto where he is an Executive Board Member. Chris is also the Chair of an Audit Committee, a Board Member and special advisor to several companies both public and owner-operated.

EnzoMorini

Enzo joined Williams & Partners in 1999 after several years of experience with an international firm and in industry working for a Canadian based multi-national in the automotive industry.

He was admitted as a tax partner with the firm in 2001. His focus is on tax minimization strategies for clients including owner-manager remuneration, corporate ownership structuring, executive compensation plans, estate plans, acquisitions and scientific research and experimental development claims.

Enzo is very active in the community and is a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Mackenzie Health Hospital Foundation, Chair of Mariann Nursing Home and Residence, and Treasurer for the Markham Mobility Foundation.

JosephPirrello

Joseph began his professional accounting career with a large international public accounting firm where he gained the knowledge and experience required in the assurance and management advisory service profession. This experience led him to an advisory services role for the small and medium sized owner manager sector.

In 1985, he became a sole practitioner helping fellow small business owners grow their business, while growing his own public practice.

In 1991, Joe became one of the founders of Williams & Partners, where he continues to act as a trusted advisor and business coach as well as an integral part of his clients’ peripheral professional advisory team in the manufacturing, processing, construction and real estate sectors.

Joseph served in protecting the public interest and upholding the reputation of the CA profession as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario’s Practice Inspection Committee from 2006 to 2009.

Andrew Salo

Andrew began his career in 1997 with a mid-sized accounting firm in Toronto before joining Williams & Partners in 2005. Andrew’s primary focus throughout his career has been on owner-managed businesses, particularly in the manufacturing, construction, real estate and retail sectors. He has significant experience in providing accounting and business advisory services specifically tailored to the needs of small and medium sized businesses operating in these diverse sectors.

Andrew is a member of the Ontario Chapter of the Family Firm Institute. The Family Firm Institute is an international professional membership organization dedicated to providing interdisciplinary education for family business advisors.

In addition to his client advisory role, Andrew applies his strong technical knowledge on a part-time basis for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario as a practice inspector. In this role, he reviews the work performed by other chartered accounting firms in Ontario to ensure they understand and adhere to the rigorous standards prescribed by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

WJohnTrimble

John earned his designation in 1985 while working with a local firm that he joined following high school graduation and where he gained experience and knowledge in the small and medium enterprise area. In 1991 John became one of the founding members of Williams & Partners. This opportunity gave him the avenue to demonstrate his commitment to adding value to owner managed businesses and entrepreneurs. John has an innate ability to infuse a fresh and different view to situations, and he utilizes this knowledge in his mentoring of owner managers.

In 1995 John followed his clients’ expansion into the United States when he qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In 2004, John again reacted to client needs and expanded his knowledge base into the Business Valuations area.

PaulVelakis

Paul is a Partner and joined Williams & Partners in 2003. Prior to joining Williams & Partners, he spent three years with a large international public accounting firm in the assurance and advisory group specializing in the real estate industry.

Paul is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. Paul mentors and advises CA students during the UFE examination process.

Paul has several years experience in providing assurance, accounting and advisory services including audits of financial statements, internal control documentation, review and compilation services including tax. Paul has worked with clients in a variety of sectors including real estate, construction and not-for-profit organizations.

Paul is also active within his community through serving as a director and as a member of a steering committee of a local charity.

JoeAbatecola

Joe graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and has over twenty-five years of experience in providing audit, assurance, tax and advisory services to small and medium sized entities in the manufacturing, construction, real estate and not for profit sectors.

Joe has been a manager with the firm for over 15 years.

Joe has significant experience in the not for profit sector and is an internal consultant and advisor to other managers and team members regarding audit and financial statement presentation and disclosure requirements for charities and not for profit organizations.

Dave Cutler 2010

Dave graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree and has been with the firm since 2007. Dave has quickly progressed through the firm to the Manager level by focusing on client relationships and meeting W&P’s commitment to excellence in the area of customer service.

Dave’s expertise lies with small to medium sized owner-managed businesses as he has a passion for working with entrepreneurs to help them grow and manage their business. Dave is regularly involved in the training of new team members of the firm due to his natural proficiencies with respect to team building, leadership and mentorship.

Dave is also very involved in the Markham community volunteering his time with a local charitable athletic organization and is the Vice President of Operations for a local baseball league.

Luisa DeJesus

Luisa joined Williams & Partners in January 2012 as a Human Resources Manager. Her focus has been on providing strategic direction in HR and implementing HR Best Practices in the firm to ensure we remain an employer of choice. Luisa also provides HR Consulting services to firm clients in supporting their HR business objectives.

Luisa is a Certified Human Resources Professional and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. In addition, Luisa also graduated with honours, obtaining her Human Resources Management certificate in 2010.

Prior to joining the firm, Luisa worked in the finance industry where she supported client groups within a large fund company as their HR Consultant. She has over 12 years’ experience working in Human Resources and holds expertise in areas such as recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, talent / succession planning, training and development, compensation and policy development.

Renaldo Heard 2010

Renaldo graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics. Prior to joining Williams and Partners in 2007, he worked with small and medium sized public accounting firms servicing their owner-managed clients.

After obtaining his CA designation in 2009, Renaldo went on to obtain his Certified Financial Planners designation in 2010. He utilizes his skill set to assist clients in the investment management, construction, manufacturing, real estate and those entities in the not-for-profit sector.

Renaldo also sits as the treasurer of the board for a local not-for-profit organization.

Renaldo is actively involved in the firm’s external newsletter, training staff members and keeping the professional staff up to date on changes in the accounting and assurance standards.

Wendy has been with Williams & Partners from its inception in 1991. She was one of only two employees in the early days managing the day-to-day tasks of a new company. As the firm grew, her responsibilities increased to include bookkeeping, payroll and HR duties. Wendy is now the Manager, Administrative Services overseeing a team of 3 administrators as well as managing the books of several companies and helping to keep our IT running.

Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University.
